Dr. Plotnikoff Shares Expertise at Mast Cell Conference

Our Founder and Medical Director Gregory A. Plotnikoff, MD, MTS, FACP was recently honored by being asked to give the opening presentation at the Mast Cell Masterminds Conference in September 2024 in Hood River, OR.
Dr. Plotnikoff opened the conference by presenting the topic of “Mitigating Iatrogenic Psychological Toxicity: Three Secrets for Optimal Patient Outcomes” and later spoke on “Nutritional/Metabolic Considerations in MCAS Evaluation and Treatment.”
Other conference presentations were given by renowned physicians such as Larry Afrin, MD (author of Never Bet Against Occam: Mast Cell Activation Disease and the Modern Epidemics of Chronic Illness and Medical Complexity) and the Mayo Clinic’s Stephanie Grach, MD, as well as over thirty other well-respected practitioners.

The conference occurs biennially and “provides both fundamental Mast Cell Activation Disorders (MCAD) diagnostic and treatment information and more complex, specialty-specific information, including updates on recent MCAD research and discussion about new clinical tools. (They) aim to broaden the conversation to include the impact of social and environmental stressors on complex illness.”
