September 21st is World Alzheimer’s Day: Meet our expert in prevention & potential reversal of cognitive decline
September 19, 2017
Each year on September 21st for World Alzheimer’s Day, Alzheimer’s organizations around the world focus their efforts onto raising awareness about Alzheimer’s and dementia. To help build awareness of this growing health concern, we are excited to share the unique expertise of one of our newest colleagues, Lisa TerHaar, APRN, CNP. She is a certified nurse practitioner focused in gerontology and has joined the Minnesota Personalized Medicine team as our Consultant in Neurological & Cognitive Health.
Lisa is one of less than 500 practitioners globally who is trained in the Bredesen Protocol. The protocol was developed by Dr. Dale Bredesen, an internationally recognized expert in the mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases. His protocol is a comprehensive, personalized program that can not only improve cognition, but reverse cognitive decline.
Interest in Dr. Bredesen’s cutting-edge work is already evident as his new book, The End of Alzheimer’s: The First Program to Prevent and Reverse Cognitive Decline, just became available on Amazon and is already ranked #4 on their bestseller list.
This video gives you an overview of the kind of care that Lisa TerHaar provides here locally as a result of studying under Dr. Bredesen.
